The activities of the Socrates Comenius School project1.1 “ THE YOUNG, ACTIVE CITIZENS OF EUROPE” have started again for the second year.

The delegation of teachers from “Cabrini” High School of Taranto, made up of Luisa Cusumano (teacher of English and Comenius project coordinator), Antonella Chiloiro ( teacher of English), Ciro Petrosillo (teacher of Mathematic and ICT ) and Angelo Greco ( teacher of Chemistry) have taken part to the project meeting held at Vasile Lupu High school in Iasi ( Romania ) on December 2007.

The Portugese delegation was headed by the project coordinators Laura Santoeira and Anthònio Marthino while the Romanian delegation who welcomed us was coordinated by Mrs Viorica Codreanu, project coordinator for Vasile Lupu High School.

The international meeting has been centred on a profitable exchange of ideas and proposals among the participants about the activities to be developed during the present year in the partner schools on the basis of the general framework provided by Laura Santoeira, from the coordinating school “ Escola Secundaria de Serpa, Portugal.

The students from each partner school will present and compare their own National Constitutions and Political Systems as well their national cultural items in the field of sport, music, religion and culture

In the course of the week , we were also given the possibility to get a highly interesting insight into the school life of the hosting school ,” Vasile Lupu”.
