The overall aim of the Comenius project 1.2 ” Environment-
our treasure, our resource” is to implement the European dimension
of Education providing real opportunities for students to visit foreign countries
and be aware of the environmental as well as artistic resources of their own
territory and of the partner school’s one.
The students will draw eco-tourist itineraries which hopefully
will help the development of tourism in the selected areas also in collaboration
with local organizations active in the field of environmental sustainablity.
The exchande visits will eable them to get a deep knowledge of
the culture and lifestyle of the countries of partner schools which will contribute
to reinforce their identity and enhance citizenship at European level
Finally they will improve their knowledge of foreign languages , expecially
English and ITC skills
The methodology used is the research – action, with visits on the spot
and active involvment of students in context reduced activities and interdisciplinary
work
OBJECTIVES :
>> To promote young people’s active citizenship in general and European
citizenship in particular by comparison of democratic values and
system in the participating member states.
>> To reinforce pupils’ understanding of their own social identity
and culture.
>> To acquire a deeper knowledge about cultural diversities that may contribute
to the construction of a common sense among the European citizens.
>> To emphasise the importance of language learning and the development
of young people’s ICT skills
>> To promote awareness of environmental issues
>> To improve knowledge and basic understanding of the environment
>> To acquire attitudes, values and concern
>> To acquire skills to solve problems
>> To reinforce participation and involvement

The project will be held as follow :
1. LOCAL LEVEL, EACH PARTNER SCHOOL
>> Internet contacts between the italian and romanian students’
exchange groups
>> Researches, collection of useful material, meeting with experts
>> Power point presentation about the school and the country of each partner
school
2. CLASS EXCHANGE VISITS
>> Visits to the most important monuments, places of art and green areas
of each area, group works, itineraries. Evaluation of project work development
3. END OF PROJECT WORK
>> Project evaluation and final report

The presentations shall constitute an integral part of the website of each school
where the events, findings and achievements of the project shall be displayed.
